Upgrades will work the same way as any flight that has a midpoint stop. Just one certificate, though both segments may not be confirmable at your elite upgrade window, but just at the gate for each segment. This is no different than the current HNL stop on the SYD service ex-YVR.

I guess yields and margins were not so great, given all the consolidators and the entry of Air India. Also, US business travelers apparently were not flocking to fill the front cabin either, just AC elites buying cheap tickets and upgrading with SSWUs...

So now we know where that A340 for GRU is coming from this fall.

But it also portends for an early entrance of SWISS into STAR, or at least as a status mile earning AC/AE partner.
