I am going to purchase a fare from JFK to Asia in C - good deal. My flight leaves at 12:35 PM. I want to take a flight from SYR to JFK on United. I tried to combine the fares but it went up. If I keep them seperate can I then combine the PNR? I can get a good fare under $150 for SYR to JFK. On the UA flight I have to connect through IAD and land at 10:00 AM. If I take a US flight I have a direct flight and must go to LGA instead of JFK. The US flight gets me into LGA at 7:10 AM.

My return flight from ASIA is arriving at 4.35 PM - I have two choices 7:00 PM or 8:45 PM. That would be if I took the US flight so I would have to hike back to LGA. The JFK UA flight leaves at 7.30 PM.

Couple of questions. What will it cost me to go from LGA to JFK? Due to the fact that I will be traveling overseas should I try to stay with United and that way they would allow me the extra weight in the bags? If I book through United the US ticket - can they just combine my PNRs?

Should I stay with UA and go into JFK or go with US and LGA? What would you do?
