I'd be quite wary if I were you, especially if this regards abandoning your booked LGW-AMS leg....

If you misconnect, BA will look at the original booking (to make sure you didn't just rock up at the airport) before re-booking you (or trying to reprice your ticket).

Why not book a later connection and go into the Terraces on your LGW-AMS boarding pass?
