JAL actually has quite a few older FAs, and a good number of male FAs too. They do not use the SQ "Singapore girl" strategy of using sexy young female FAs as a marketing tool.

I have found JAL's FAs to be uniformly professional and incredibly pleasant, regardless of seniority. For some reason, on US carriers there seems to be an inverse relationship between seniority and cheerfulness.
