The reason is that auditors have recently inspected our operations and discovered glaring loopholes in our baggage policies and have advised the management that BA is losing "millions of pounds" in excess baggage revenue due to our leniency and laissez-faire attitudes. OLCI and Self Service kiosks are also resulting in seriously overweight cabin baggage finding its way on to aircraft and endangering passengers and crew alike, so be prepared for extra vigilance at the gate!

Sorry guys (except those who take "monster" hand-baggage on board)- until we upset a few corporate customers (as we undoubtedly will) with this new "initiative", be prepared for a rough ride!
I agree with you but in plain english it should be said that it is now summer, the busiest season for us when all the flights are full and there is very little space on Airbus A319/ A320 for monster baggage!

Be fair to everyone and allow space for evryones bags. We all hate being the last one on and then not having any room for their wheelie!

The locker above your head is for 6 to 9 people remember, not just one massive wheelie and a laptop.

We are enforcing this as the crew moan because there is little space to put all these bags!

Help us out by checking bags in when necessary!

Thanks.....
