I can certainly agree with you on the stopover in Seattle - the stop westbound is not that bad as you arrive in SEA around 3am (If EVA still dpts EWR at around 1am) - but the stop in SEA on the return is atrocious especially since you clear customs there. Several times my flight has been delayed leaving SEA due to the customs/immigration crush and pax not making it back to the plane.

However I would have to say that for the price, Evergreen Deluxe (if you buy through an asian travel agent) is well worth the money. Not quite FC service but for me close enough - especially when you walk to the back of the plane and see the cramped quarters back there.
