No, it’s not just you, most of the road network is in bad shape around the island. However, you’ll notice that hwy 13, hwy 440 as well as many sections of the 40 are being re-built with cement concrete (instead of the traditional Asphalt Concrete - flexible pavement) and should have a life of 40-50 years. The advantages with cement concrete; no ruts or potholes. The risk; perhaps some cracking but apparently they found the right mix. Time will tell..
