S-l-o-w d-o-w-n
During my recent month-long vacation through SE Asia, I noticed that in Hong Kong the people claim they are speaking Chinglish; in Singapore they claim they are speaking Singlish.
To my New York ears, it all sounds to me like rapid-fire British colonial speech. For heaven's sake: S-l-o-w d-o-w-n. You will find that you'll all be better understood by other English speaking persons if you simply speak a bit slowly.
Other than that, I loved Singapore and its people! I am planning to return again on vacation next year to SE Asia and will surely re-visit Singapore.
