VOR interference
The VOR frequency is the same band as the ILS localiser, left right guidance, hence the excitement for CAT III landings on autopilot.
The light aircraft case is rather different from big metal, in that the pax are very close to the avionics boxes and the distance squared effect and the amount of shielding is rather different.
I do remember getting a captain to answer his phone when at FL 310 as he was picking up his texts pre landing at LHR. Wanted to make sure the phone was registering UK and not diverting to overseas at high cost. Typical tight captain!
The navigation system on Spotwelder One consists of
Eyeball, Mark One with sight adjustment enhancers. Duplex system with nearly full functionality in the event of failure of one system.
Map, 1 to 250,000 UK south east, when remembered with a few lines from previous flights drawn across it.
Compass, type P1, nearly impossible to read but very accurate.
Direction indicator, when it feels like it and when you remember to align it and uncage it.
Wristwatch, when remembered and when used.
This system is not prone to mobile phone interference as the noise in the cockpit is sufficiently loud that Spottie would not notice it going off.
Ah, the Chipmunk, the poor man's Spitfire.
