On a Czech Airlines flight to IST a couple of months ago I lifted my dinner dish (so as not to put noddles on their accustomed spot on my shirt) and below was a slip of paper with a drawing of a pig with a red line through it. Flying to a Muslim country, no pork on board. All I could think of was the AS slip of paper encouraging Hindus to praise God for gifts bestowed. There's cultural sensitivity then there's cultural propaganda.
Anyone remember the little messages from Conrad Hilton that used to come with your room in one of his hotels? Oy.
