Many thanks for the suggestions. Japa Mala resort looks to be the most up my alley (and I like the very short distance) so I'll let you know how it is. They seem to be doing work on the resort, according to the site, which might change my mind again...

Only other one I'm thinking about is the FS Langkawi.... Those beach villas look fabulous!
