Alaska is very casual, around Anchorage we know who the tourists are because they're dressed up so nice. On board the cruise I wouldn't worry too much about appearances, when we went on a couple years ago we just dressed however was comfortable and everyone was gracious and welcoming. It was a Royal Caribbean so I don't know if that would make a difference or not. You'll have a great time, as others have said, be prepared for rain!
