Returned from Berlin yesterday after spending the night in the Hilton (shock horror - I actually stayed more than 5 hours!!!!

), however a rather interesting event happened when I boarded!
The afternoon had started rather bizzarely after spending nearly 10 minutes trying to find the delightful BA Terraces lounge - I had arrived at the airport between flights so nobody BA was around anywhere as their check-in desk (at Gate 3) is shared with other airlines between their flights!
The gate arrangement is similar to CDG yet done better, with Immigration, Security and gate entrance all within 20 foot of each other yet the lounge is at the other end of the airport!
Club Europe was quite small at 3 rows and I was destined for 3A. However, I was quite shocked to find a young lady probably slightly younger than myself, safely installed in 3A!
"Excuse me, I think you are in my seat?" I asked....
"Really?....Oh.....there seem to be others free, I'm nice and comfortable here now!"
To be honest I was quite stunned at this point!
"What does it say on your boarding card?" I asked....
After much hissing and panting from her, she asked the gentleman in 3C to let her out for her overhead bag, during which she drops everything out of her handbag, the man in 3C offers to hold things, etc.
At this point we were all holding up everyone else getting onboard.
After what seemed an eternity, she found her boarding card at the bottom of her bag, snatched the bag off the gentleman who was helping her and proceeded towards the back of the aircraft!
The guy in 3C alongside me caught sight of her boarding card which had 17D on it!
"Not even close" he replied. Quite I thought....
The crew were not aware of any of this as between the three of us it was sorted out in a minute or so, however, still quite surprising!
If I had not boarded the aircraft for some reason, would she have passed as me I wonder or would the crew have not noticed?
Anyone else had this problem before?
