Well, I admit that this was all in early 2003. But it was most certainly Dom to LHR from the US. The memory is not as good for the food. Some of the main couse choices may have been the same as C but the appetizer was different (and much better). And there were separate soup and salad courses.
And perhaps I was jaded by high expectations for Raffles class from all my reading on FT. While I felt it was novel, and clearly outstanding for a C product, I wasn't wowed the way I was expecting, and still found it not as good as UA F. But again, we all value different aspects of the experience. So I can definitely see where very different opinions can emerge about the comparison.
I agree with one of the posters that the best solution is to split the ticket and do both if possible.
