Believe it or not, I actually did this train trip several (bordering on many) years ago. Unless they've changed the schedule, if you miss that connection, you may find yourself waiting for hours and hours in that big but dingy train station for the next connecting train. If I recall correctly, I had to wait eight hours! It was horrid, though there were some very nice Polish people (the Polish are basically all very lovely and hospitable, IMHO) there who helped me figure out my way. I mean (I'm going to get flamed for this, but hey), bad food, few entertainment venues, like cinemas, etc., few English-speaking people - how much fun is that.
