Considering how little the WiFi kit actually costs to operate, compared to any kind of billing system, I think that they could as well leave it free permanently.
I've only been to one airport with 100% free WiFi and that was MAN. Turn on and use. Very very nice. Wonder if this can be a competitive edge for airports in the future, effectively covering the cost off the airport fees, and atracting transfer passengers to use your airport.
