Do I have to get a 1 year ticket or is there anything slightly more then 6 months? Any recommendations on where to get the cheapest mileage accurable ticket for the above mentioned itinerary?
Unrestricted one-year tickets tend to be expensive. I will make the same suggestion I always do for people in your situation: you might want to look into a *A round-the-world ticket. Singapore to New York is nearly halfway around the world in itself (I believe the SQ non-stop SIN-EWR is the longest scheduled flight in operation today). The only catch is that if you want to stop in Hawaii on the return, you would have to go via Europe on the outbound.
