I don't know if there is a correlation between the post count on a thread and the likelihood a loophole will be closed. I think specifically of the AA Incentive TrAAvel certs, which became closed to private purchase very quickly after the last significant discussion here.
While I'm not convinced that FT is responsible for killing this one, I wouldn't be surprised. We're pretty good at it, after all.
