As far as meals are concerned, from the press release in March:

"In First Class, Delta will continue to offer complimentary meal service on flights longer than 3½ hours and in select business markets on flights less than 3½ hours, including flights between Atlanta and Boston, New York’s LaGuardia and John F. Kennedy (JFK) airports, and between Cincinnati and Boston."

You should get a meal either way as long as it is at mealtime. I would say go with CVG as long as the BOS-CVG flight is a mainline flight (I know the last flight CVG-BOS is a Comair flight, but I'm not sure about others). I hate the stupid bus over to terminal C and would go to ATL to avoid it, but that's just me. I'm sure that it will be a mainline flight, so I'd say go with CVG. IMHO, I've found the agents to be much more pleasant in CVG because it doesn't get so busy there so they can take a little more time with their passengers. I also prefer the CRC there, the agents are top notch!

Although that is the way it is, you can utilize the SDC program on the day of travel and perhaps eliminate one connection.
