Service Notices - Horseshoe Bay
Queen of Oak Bay Update

At approximately 10:10 am today, the Queen of Oak Bay lost power while coming into Horseshoe Bay.
The vessel drifted into Sewell’s Marina, damaging several boats. The vessel has run aground.
Emergency and regulatory authorities have been contacted. No injuries have been reported at this time.
Customers onboard the Queen of Oak Bay are being taken care of on the ship. Tugs are standing by and passengers will be released as soon as possible.
Horseshoe Bay terminal has been temporarily closed while divers are working. Customers traveling between mid Vancouver Island and the mainland are advised to choose the Duke Point-Tsawwassen route.
Reservations for Horseshoe Bay – Departure Bay travel are cancelled, and Assured Loading Tickets will not be accepted for this route until further notice.
Reservations on all other major routes will be honoured, however, no new bookings will be accepted.
More information on the Horseshoe Bay-Departure Bay schedule for the day will be provided as soon as possible.
