I'm heading to CHC in November (planning an ex-TIP F) and aa.com is superb (as usual) at offering alternative routes; I think i'll opt for TIP-LHR-HKG-SYD-CHC in both directions as:

  • I can roll F sectors on BA, QF and CX into one trip
  • Nice long night flight on the HKG-LHR sector arrives early so I can head straight to work
  • Tier-points wise it's 840 (assuming I miss the final leg to TIP) as i'm changing flights
  • HKG's airport and its lounges are awesome
