QF are shameless about it on the LAX-SYD daytime flight. After meal, they try to close all the shutters. If you refuse, they ply you with grog, turn up the heat and let nature take its course. When you wake from your slumber the shutter is firmly closed.

I am afraid that on a daytime flight (as the LAX-SYD run is) if I want the blind open, I'll damn well have it open. It is neither night at my depature point nor night at my destination. If people want to sleep in those circumstances, that's what the eye shades are for.
