I don't do anything on Europe trips. I try to get at least two or three hours' doze/nap before the sun comes up, hit the ground and do something before dinner, and NEVER go to bed before 900pm the first day. After that, I'm fine -- I snap right back. If you succumb to the urge to have a nap at 300p or 400p your first day, you're sunk for a week. The secret is to power through: walk around town, go to a museum or shop or something, but NO NAP the first day.

I've never taken Ambien or melatonin or whatever.
