Yes, I agree with you & I went through a similar explanation with USAirways to debunk their $ 18 K figure, & how I was able to negotiate with USAirways to get the 250,000 miles put in my account instead. Reduced my tax burden by 75%, and actually gave me enough extra miles to to take 9 members of my family to St. John in the USVI for the year 2000 millenium. Getting 9 FF award tickets during Christmas 1999 / NewYears 2000 is a another story... Jetrider
