If Reward Res. Cancels Do Seats Immediately Return to Inventory?
The reason I ask:
The courteous but obdurate folks at the empowered "Platinum LIne" insist that my reward travel reservation cannot be extended beyond the three week hold period. Just need a few days for some miles to post. The computer can't make any exceptions to this, nor will the agent seek an override.
Of course, I've been polite and explained the situation--big vacation planned, etc. (getting rid of all the HalfPass miles since I''ve been flying AA).
ANY experience as to WHEN or IF the reward seats will show back up in inventory after cancellation of reservation? Need to initiate another "hold" asap.
There can be no waitlisting on the CNS-GUM route, fyi. This shouldn't be an issue.
