Because of the traffic situation, location is pretty important in Seattle.

When I work south of town, I like the HI Select in Renton -- they always bump me up to the concierge level with free breakfast and happy hours during the weekdays.

The HI and HIX Seattle Center are right next to each other. Because of the location, both are good spots for tourists, but the immediate neighborhood is somewhat sketchy.

The Northgate HIX has both a bad location and a bad neighborhood. Gun shops, anti-prostitution signs, etc.

The Bothell HIX is a good choice for stays north of town.

I have yet to stay in the Downtown CP, but it appears to be very nice. Great location if you're gonna spend a lot of time downtown.
