The badge is usually set into the front cover of the case, so if the case is open to the credential portion, you won't see it. It's not the kind of badge that is intended to be worn on a shirt or belt.
I let many air marshals in, and I still did not see a REAL badge("the tin"). I see no reason, a tin is for show, the ID is what matters anyway.
