Wow! Thanks for the education. Here in Midwest USA the bill is always dropped off. They will ask if anything else is needed and you are allowed to take your time and just leave the money on the table. If paying by credit card is the only time they have to get involved. It was the same way when we traveled to Germany and Switzerland. I guess it is important to know the local customs. We could have waited a long time if we didn't have any other plans. Thanks again.
