I agree with
lihue1k. The treatment during irregular ops is what does it for me. Sure the UGS extras are nice (but not as nice as the F terminal at FRA

), but none of them stand out specifically.
There are a few things that stick in my mind.
a) being met on the jetway after arriving late and escorted to my next flight that had returned to the gate for me (in DEN on my way to SYD)
b) being paged on arrival - Mr. Wimpy meet the agent at the door to be given hotel vouchers etc and arrange rebooking for trip to SYD.
c) being able to call UGS from SYD when my luggage didn't arrive and have an answer within 5mins that it would be delivered the next day
d) sticking my head into the 3333 room at IAD and alternative flights being arranged while I relaxed in the RCC with some chits which the UGS agent asked for.
There are numerous other times that I thought "Wow...UGS makes life easier", and with the care UA takes of me, I feel out on a limb now flying on other airlines.
I'm very pleased to be UGS this year. Not sure if it will happen again, but with my travel this year it has certainly been a step above 1K.
