Even if it only happens once a year, UGS reaps a big reward if something goes wrong.
Had a flight cancelled earlier this year. I learned this because UGS phone ME to review alternatives. They were prepared to give me my choice of several other options (some quite creative). Ultimately it was easier just to wait for the same flight next day.
Having a real person call, prepared to implement whatever alternative most appealed to me, was a truly impressive if rarely used benefit.
Oh, and of course boarding with F is a published UGS benefit. However, no matter what your status it costs nothing to be civil.
