I can understand it with actual keys, but with plastic key cards? That's asinine.

And a real pain, too. Every time you go in and out you have to deal with the front desk, waiting in line, etc. And I don't trust the security at all, since the guy who took your key in the morning isn't the same guy who gives it back to you at night.
