This assumes the budget minded will try Continental.com before they try other airlines' web sites. I think this will benefit the budget carriers, whose reputation will cause many travelers to call them first. Of course, I may be wrong - cutting the TA's out of the loop may also result in an increase in market share for the dominant airline in hub cities because it will be harder for customers to shop around.
