Spent a comfortable four nights at the Mystic Hilton a few weeks ago. Near Mystic Seaport and Old Mystic Village, and across the street from the Mystic Aquarium, to keep your kids occupied for a bit. Don't know about a pool there, and it's not on a beach, but our stay at the hotel was fine. They upgraded us to an Exec Suite, and the front desk validated our breakfast coupons so that we got the full breakfast comped, instead of just the continental breakfast. Clean, quiet hotel, with comfortable rooms. Not a new property, but well kept, IMO, and we enjoyed our stay there.
Easy off/on to I-95, at exit 90, with the hotel only a block away from the off-ramp (follow the signs for the Mystic Aquarium).

I'd suggest emailing them for questions about a pool, and any other information. Their email address is on the website for Hilton Hotels, when you search for the Hilton Mystic. Also, have a look at other threads on the hotel on FT, via the FT search.

Several good restaurants in the area. Walking distance to the "Steak Loft" and "Go-Fish", both near the Old Mystic Village, across the street from the hotel.
