Spoke to Tesco CS, and was informed that 'the IT department has removed the points because they were not authorised'. But 'don't worry, as they will still appear on your August statement'.
So, the IT department is now overuling the Customer Services Manager.

I am currently a lucky recipient of this extra set of points for my nokia's, they don't appear to have disappeared again yet, so fingers crossed they don't disappear!
rkenyon, to clarify, does your post mean that Tesco acknowledge that they have double-posted them in error, but are going to let you keep the extra set of points anyway?
