I currently have my third Amex BA companion voucher. My second companion voucher was wasted because there was never any availability on the routes I wanted and it then expired. I only managed to use my first companion voucher two years ago because it was for our honeymoon and Revenue Management kindly released two seats for us.

I have been trying to use my third voucher to book LHR-SYD-LHR in Club World, but again, there is never any availability. I have been checking regularly online, and I am convinced that BA have never released any U class seats for the month I am looking at. After spending £15k to get each voucher, I'm getting a bit fed up with the lack of availability. I therefore have two questions:

1. Do BA release at least two seats on every long haul flight in U class? They tell me they do, but I don't believe them.
2. How can I find out the total number of U class seats that were released for a particular flight?
3. Are there any tips for getting U class seats released?
