On the A346, one should especially avoid 36ACHK and 45ACHK. These are the bulkhead and emergency exit rows respectively. The seats mentioned have airbags built into the seatbelts, making these the most excruciatingly uncomfortable Y class seats I can think of. The airbag gives the seatbelt the size, shape and consistency of a large salami sausage, and it is in the way whether fastened or not. In the former case, you can not rest your hands in your lap, or eat properly. Unfastened, the salami pokes up into your armpit. Should you try to fold it behind you, you can not lean back in your seat anymore.

Seats 36DEG and 45DEFG, however, do not have airbags, for some reason beyond my comprehension. 45DEFG have tons of legroom, equal to any business class seat.

On my last SA A346 flight I made a mental note of under which seats the IFE boxes were located, but forgot to write it down. Now of course my memory fails me.
