Avis/budget=cendant; Alamo/National=Vanguard.

Both companies, nationwide, share fleets, mechanics, and busses whenever possible, and with avis and budget, share computer systems. Alamo/national have gone so far as to in some locations put one off airport and one on airport to provide a more significant price difference between the two. The last time I was in Hawaii, Alamo and National had separate busses, separate locations, and Alamo was off airport and doing TONS of business due to their off airport rent.

At my location, Alamo and national are on airport, and they share the busses as well (but from what I can tell from bus timings, they have greatly reduced the number of busses on the road, making waits for busses long and seats on busses scarce.
