At EWR Termina "A" (aka "The Dumpster") I have never once in all the trips I have taken back to Chicago out of there had the boarding pass checker EVER say anything to me, and of the rare times I have heard any of them make any sound at all, it was surely not in English. Wait, I take that back, last december one of them grunted at me.
