IMO there aren't 4 nights worth of things to do in Disneyland but you could easily spend that and more in WDW.
I personally couldn't spend an entire day at either WDW of DL. At least Southern CA has more other areas to explore than Orlando. San Diego is an hour away from Anaheim, Catalina Island and the Getty museum in LA less than that, Lake Arrowhead and Palm Springs are ~two hours.
Anyway, to each his own.
