On a 777 today, the following is summarized/paraphrased from the actual announcement:
"If you are seated near door 3L, please note that it is tech and is placarded shut. If we need to evacuate, please find an alternate door".
If there was a problem out the R side, then it's a long way between 2L & 4L ...
