I flew last week out of LHR T4, Saturday afternoon to PVG. I was in tow with the Mrs and 2 kids. It was quite busy so used the 1st check-in. I always enjoy the interaction with the checkin staff and am always polite and by nature quite friendly. I must say the that the lady at check in on Saturday was easily the most miserable bugger i have ever encountered. It may have been that she had drawn the short straw,Goldie Hawn was checking in next to me, (i bumped her bum with mine when retrieving our passports, but thats another story

) and she had got me and the clan. She seemed to get some perverse enjoyment out of announcing to the whole world very loudly that i would only be allowed one guest into the lounge, so tough, as if i didn't know. I explained that our BA area manager had put a note in the PNR to help with lounge access, she replied with a satanic smile that she worked on the lounges and it was her decision who came in and never in any circumstances were more than one guest allowed.( I have never understood the term lounge dragon, as in my experience i have never had anything put politeness and helpfullness... No i know)
BTW i did get into the lounge no problem by being polite and asking on my own rather than turn up mob handed
When asked for fast track stickers for the boarding passes her reply was only for f or J ( we were in W) no again i know the rules but i have to say in 11 long hauls fro T4 this year i have never needed to even ask for a fast track sticker it has always been given.
My point of this little rant is that myself and wife were made to feel that we had no right to turn up at her domain and how dare we check in just because i have a nicey shine card, but haven't as yet made any movies, and i have to say Goldie Horne has a better backside than me
I have to say that the crew on the PVG flight on saturday 11th were outstanding and the return crew on the 19th again outstanding, which i always find with BA. On the outleg the CSD came down and sat with my youngest daughter helping her colour as the flight was fairly quite.
The difference in PVG was i again checked in at first and a very apologetic supervisor told me as i have the children it wouldnt be possible to use the 1st lounge, however would i please accept 4 business lounge passes ^ Result came away feeling satisfied with the attitude and service.
Finally I know some people have a bad day and i am generally more than happy with the service of BA in fact i , like many on this board book BA as a preference. The rudeness of this lady has left a very sour taste in the mouth, so much so that i have just booked a J fare via dubai for with emirates back to PVG on 3rd July.BTW £300 cheaper than W with BA.
Excuse my little rant, i shall go and tke a tablet and lie down...
