My grandparents live there. Lots of people seem to have friends and relatives there - far more than seems reasonable given Midland's small size. Off the top of my head I can think of half a dozen friends and colleagues with relatives who live there, and those are all people I've met in IL and CA.

Is there something special about Midland that causes this to happen? Or am just at the center of a web of coincidence?
