That's not true. To make Premier Membership, the op needs 5 STAYS or 10 room nights. The nights at Chateau Lake Louise (despite being multiple nights) count as only 1 stay, as do the nights at Banff. If the OP sticks to the original schedule, he/she will actually accumulate a credit of either 6 room nights, or 2 stays.
I stayed at the Chateau Lake Louise in February 2005 for 5 nights and it was fabulous. I would suggest trying to get a room in the new wing (Mt. Temple) as the rooms are large and very nice.
