Pedestrian traffic past the Museum campus/Soldier Field is not the best. Better since they remodelled/re-routed. But still not good.

Plus, surroundings as they are aren't that great right there. Save your walking time for Mag Mile, Grant Park, Lincoln Park, etc.

Take a cab. Easier. Safer. Reasonably cheap.
