I sent a complaint letter via the form on the LH website and see what happens. As I am not a M&M member (AC Aeroplan) LH M&M miles won't be any use for me. I do have an booking intra-Europe on LH in a few months so I simply suggested that if they saw reason to compensate somone who had a fully paid F ticket not to send me a travel voucher or miles but to simply upgrade me on my upcoming LH flights.
I also mentioned in the complaint letter, that the problem with my non-functioning video player was known before departure in BKK (according to the purser). Someone at LH should have told me about this problem beforehand and offer some sort of solution (swap seats with pax who want to sleep anyway, take later flight...). Perhaps this might strengthen my case?
