From Arrivals terminal 1, follow the signs to the railway station. You will be directed downstairs. After about 40 yards, you pass the elevators and ticket machines to a parking garage. Continue straight ahead for another 10yards and the the baggage storage counter is on your left.
Baggage store has moved recently. It is now now longer there, but at the entrance to Parking 2. Follow the signs for P2 and you'll see it.
As for the SIM cards, without residency in Switzerland you'll only be able to buy a prepaid card, and with this one you can receive calls free of charge, but making international outgoing calls is going to be very very expensive (think $2/min). I suggest you buy a pronto card from sunrise (the cheapest on the market) for CHF40. This will give you a Swiss phone number. Then have people call you on that number.
