Our travel policy is to buy any fare within $20 of the cheapest ticket, or whatever is the lowest fare on our corporate preferred partner. Anything not adhering to that automatically is flagged by travel, and depending on how far you've exceeded the other ticket value, may or may not need to have an exception form waived. Travel policy specifically states that frequent flyer programs/loyalty is not to be taken into consideration when booking tickets.
