I would imagine that they face heavy competition from UA (and VS) on that route, particularly as it is UA's east coast hub and would generate massive connecting traffic. I think that the O&D traffic on LHR-IAD wouldn't be that much, but I could be wrong. I know LHR-IAD and vv on UA are always packed with high level elites.
