I have just got back from five days in Krakow. It was a business trip but i got plenty of chances to explore.

I would recommend it whole-heartedly. The old city is beautiful, i could just spend days wandering around. Rynek Glowny (The central Square) is a wonderful place to relax and people watch while enjoying coffee and ice-cream. The Wawal Castle complex is stunning I think it would be possible to spend a weekend just exploring there.

Coupled with that you get excellent value for money and some intriguing places to eat.

I haven't been to other places so I can't comment on those but I would go back to Krakow tomorrow given half the chance!
