I will give a bit of a plug to our way of doing things. I know that in other carriers no one of Purserette's youth might be at that level. I am so pleased that we have people with the energy and enthousiasm still out there being the face of British Airways that we hope most people will remember. I have to be honest, I was lucky as I was sort of acquired during the BCAL merger and already had gained some rank at BCAL - whether I would have been as successful as Purserette you may well ask. From the sound of her, I am delighted that I was not up against her at interview!
As for Anne Robinson - I asked Him Indoors if I should have my face lifted (knowing darn well what the anser would be). He said - whoever told you that you look like that sour-faced miserable old Lady Dog (well, that's not quite how he put it. So, I am unsure how to take that remark and thought that this was definitely as case of letting sleeping dogs lie!
